Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What happens if my pet dies at home?

You may want to wrap your pet in a something such as a sheet or blanket and put them in or on a plastic bag or container.  Place your pet in a cool area of your home such a basement, small room or closet and contact your Veterinarian or service that your are planning to use.

When can I expect my pet back and what will they be in?

We usually have pets ready to return in 2-3 days from the date of pick up. We can return to your Veterinarian’s office or contact you for the return. When we return to your veterinarian please allow for the hours of their office. When we return to them, they will inturn contact you to let you know they are there.
Your pets cremains will be in a plastic bag and returned in a “presentation urn” which is a white hard plastic urn. They will be safe in this until you are ready to find a more decorative one or scatter them. We have a selection of urns available on our urns page.

Where is the cremation done?

We have been asked if we send out the pets for cremation. Not! Your pet is cremated right here in Brasstown as our facility is right on the property where we live.
